South Wallowa Lake Firewise Community

In 2021,the South Wallowa Lake Community was granted their Firewise Certification. Becoming Firewise gave property owners the tools and resources needed to create fire defensible areas around their structures. This makes their properties more protected from fire and makes it easier for firefighters to do their jobs if a fire were to occur.
